Well- Starbuck disappointed Mrs. Lane today by spilling the Starbuck coffee rather than bringing her some! :0) I bet Santa sent that coffee to Mrs. Lane and Starbuck spilled it on the way! Either way, Mrs. Lane was disappointed. Oh well- we sure love Starbuck's adventures even though he is often getting into trouble.
After lunch we found Starbuck had left us a Merry Christmas message. We are all a little concerned though because as he returns to the North Pole it is obvious that his spelling and capitalization has not improved. We hope another elf will be writing the Christmas tags because Starbuck will have a lot of difficult spelling the names.
Well- Goodbye Starbuck until next year! Hopefully, you will reappear in Mrs. Lane's room next year.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a "good night".

Day 14- Starbuck
Starbuck was so excited about our Minecraft Day and our holiday party that he was sitting on the iPods ready to play. It is so cute how excited he gets over events in our classroom! We love Starbuck and will miss him when he returns to Santa.
Starbuck realized how careful we are being with our devices from home today, so while we were at lunch he protected our room from the wreath on our door. He must have been a wonderful room guard because when we returned everything was just like it was when we left. He has been a helpful elf today rather than a mischievous elf!
Starbuck's brother, Starman visited today.
Starbuck gave him a gift and enjoyed spending time with him. Starman is a noisy elf unlike Starbuck.

Day 13- Starbuck
Today Mrs. Lane was a little late to school because she had a grade level teacher celebration so she did not get to check out the room before school. Starbuck decided to take advantage of her absence and covered the entrance to the classroom with crepe paper streamers and in the process of doing that he got tied up with streamers as well. He is really a mischievous little elf. It is a good thing we are patient with his shenanigans.
Oh my goodness. He tried to be a helpful little elf and clean up the mess he made this morning, but he must have been really tired because he fell asleep inside of a pillow. At least he was quiet for the remainder of the day.
Day 12- Starbuck
Upon arrival today, the All-Stars found Starbuck hanging over the basketball team. Thankfully he did not fall on O.W.S.! We were a little concerned about that but O.W.S. was saved! Maybe Starbuck was just watching him carefully, who knows?!
In the afternoon our class was going to make candy Christmas trees and Starbuck got into our trash, turned over the can, found an empty ice cream cone box to get into and then put a broken cone on this head as a hat. Oh my... he can be a naughty elf! I wonder if Santa knows that he is
NOT always a good role model for our students!

Day 11- Starbuck
The All-Stars were excited to return on Monday to find Starbuck here after the weekend and the difficult day on Friday! He sure had made a mess of our lunch count though. He must have thought we needed lots of food today or maybe he was hungry! Mrs. Lane was not in the class in the afternoon, so Starbuck watched over the class for her and made sure everyone behaved. She did receive a positive report from Starbuck for most of the class members! Starbuck is a great helper to Mrs. Lane as well as Santa.
Day 10-Starbuck's Disappearance
Oh my... Today's message was not so happy. Starbuck had disappeared because he told Santa someone in our class touched him. Now we understand why he was trying so hard to get to the North Pole quickly yesterday afternoon. He did finally return in the afternoon with peppermints for us all, but unfortunately our students were greedy with the peppermints and Starbuck had to collect them all and then see if the students could behave enough to get them. It was a tough day.... Wonder what he shared with Santa?

Day 9- Starbuck

This completes another day of Starbuck adventures!

Day 8- Starbuck

We had a visit from Ms. Cline today. She brought us pizza from Benny Nicola's because of our wonderful behavior recently. She was also very kind and remembered Starbuck with a quite cute Christmas ink pen. We had lots of fun with the pizza. We also had to tell Ms. Fauber goodbye today. It was a sad goodbye, but we know that she will make a wonderful teacher in her own classroom.

Elf Yourself
Click on the link below to Elf Yourself and your family! It is fun to see how cute you are as an elf. As we know from Starbuck, elves do funny things!

Starbuck- Day 7
When we arrived this morning, Starbuck was playing Jenga. I think he wanted to get others to play, but these wonderful students know that when they arrive it is important to get right to work... play comes later.
Starbuck was really trying to be helpful by watering our plant. He could not quite pick up the can. Oh well- we will have to help him out later today. Thanks Starbuck for being a helper!

Starbuck- Day 6
Starbuck must have been busy this weekend reporting our behavior to Santa. When we got to school on Monday, he had moved all of the behavior clips to red except for his own of course! He was on green. I wonder of Santa knows the truth about Starbuck. He does not deserve gifts this year, maybe a lump of coal in his stocking. Of course the students on All-star Lane deserve gifts... they are precious and well-behaved.

Starbuck- Day 5
Starbuck received a note from Santa telling him to study multiplication facts because he heard from Mrs. Lane how important it is to know those facts. Being a good elf, he was studying flashcards at his desk when the students arrived this morning! Way to go Starbuck!
Oh my... Starbuck was trying to be a good little elf and put the flashcards away when he fell in the box where they belong! Thank goodness he was responsible enough to put them away properly, so sorry he got stuck!
At the end of the day Starbuck was in our ticket basket so the students could not get their rewards. So glad Ms. Fauber wrote down the names so we could reward on Monday. Bad Starbuck messed up our system! He is always trying to be the center of attention!
Starbuck- Day 4
Starbuck began his day blocking out Morning Show by hanging from the projector. Glad he did not damage the projector! We had to read the show on the computer because of his mischief today!

Starbuck- Day 3
Day 3 of Starbuck adventures:
Oh my goodness, Starbuck decided our tree needed a star. Is he the star? I don't think so! He is quite mischievous!
Starbuck tends to not eat healthy at lunch time. Today he ate starbursts and M&Ms! He is such a mess! I think we need to contact Santa about him!

While our class was in music, Starbuck decided to climb up to the cabinets in our classroom. Thankfully he did not open them and make a mess like he often does. He sure is keeping us busy.

Starbuck- Day 2
Today Starbuck began our day with the Morning Show turned upside down so he could read it from his "seat" of our Christmas lights above the Smartboard. He is quite mischievous. Several children from our class have tried to make him welcome by bringing him school supplies. Hopefully he appreciates the kindness of his classmates. Maybe they will be good role models for him and he can give Santa positive comments about them.

Later he fell asleep during math. Oh my.. Hope he gets more rest tonight.

New Student, "Starbuck"
Today we had a "new student" join our class! His name is Starbuck and he loves fourth grade. Please welcome him and watch his daily adventures documented by our students and posted here each day!
Day 1: Starbuck joined our class and began sitting at his desk while reading a book like all of the students do when they arrive in our class each day!
While we were at lunch Starbuck had his lunch and spilled his water messing up his name tag and desk! Oh my the mischief has begun.
After lunch while we were in PE Starbuck enjoyed playing as well. The only problem was that he played the rest of the day!
